SUSTAINABILITY
At Polo Club, we believe timeless style also starts with the way we care for what we wear. With a few simple care habits, our pieces will keep their look, shape and quality for longer, and stay with you more time.

A large part of a garment’s environmental impact happens when you use it. Spacing out washes helps preserve the fabric, keep colours looking fresh and reduce water and energy use. Whenever possible, air your clothes or use a soft brush to freshen them up before putting them in the wash. Also, try to wash full loads. You will save time, energy and money.
Always follow the care label on each garment. It is designed to help the fabric keep its shape, colour and finish. Small actions make a difference:
- Wash new items separately from light colours.
- Measure detergent carefully to avoid unnecessary rinses.
- Treat stains straight away so they do not set into the fibres.
- Drying: air-dry when possible to protect the fibres and extend the life of the garment.
- Ironing: to smooth creases and keep the fabric’s natural drape, use a steamer instead of an iron whenever possible.
Materials

Cotton is one of the most widely used natural fibres in fashion and a key part of our collections due to its versatility, comfort and breathability.
Polo Club is part of Better Cotton, a global initiative that promotes more responsible and efficient farming practices. Through this programme, we support the development of a more sustainable supply chain within the textile sector.
WASHING
To help cotton garments regain their shape, gently stretch them as soon as they come out of the wash. Always turn jeans inside out to reduce colour wear and help prevent dye transfer.
DRYING AND IRONING
Avoid tumble drying whenever possible. Let garments air-dry to help them keep their size and reduce the risk of shrinkage. When ironing, avoid pressing directly on the embroideries.
STORAGE
Keep cotton garments in a dry, well-ventilated place.

Durable, lightweight and long-lasting, both synthetic materials are often used in blended fabrics. At Polo Club, we use GRS-certified recycled polyester, which supports traceability, responsible waste management and fair working conditions.
WASHING
Always inside out. For more delicate blends, place garments in a laundry bag for added protection.
DRYING AND IRONING
Air-dry your garments to prevent heat from damaging the fibres. If creases appear, iron inside out on a low heat or use steam to restore the original look without damaging the fabric.
STORAGE
You can hang synthetic garments on hangers or store them folded flat. Keep in mind that folding can cause creases.

Wool is a highly valued natural fibre thanks to its warmth, breathability and comfort. In our collections, it is used both in wool garments and in blends that provide softness, durability and reliable thermal performance.
WASHING
Wool garments do not need frequent washing. Airing them and spot cleaning is often enough. When washing is needed, use a protective laundry bag to help prevent tangling or felting.
DRYING
Never wring them out, as the fibres may stretch. Dry flat on a towel to absorb excess moisture and help the garment keep its original shape.
STORAGE
Always fold knitwear and store it in a dry space. For extra protection, you can add moisture-absorbing balls. Over time, small pills may appear on the surface. Simply remove them with a fabric brush or a pill comb, and the garment will look its best again.

Silk is a delicate, elegant natural fibre, used at Polo Club for our tie collections. Silk naturally repels dust and mites, so it does not need frequent washing. A few hours of airing outdoors is enough.
WASHING
If you wash it, do it carefully and follow the care label. Avoid soaking to help prevent colour changes.
DRYING AND IRONING
Do not use a tumble dryer. Dry flat on a towel. If ironing is needed, always press inside out on the lowest heat or hang it in the bathroom so steam can release creases naturally.
STORAGE
Store silk in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight. Ideally, use breathable cotton bags and avoid plastic containers, which trap moisture and may enhance the proliferation of insects.

Linen is a natural fabric that is ideal for summer: lightweight, breathable and airy. Over time it softens and develops a unique character, which makes it a great choice for our summer shirts and dresses.
WASHING
Always wash linen garments inside out and separately from heavier items such as jeans or sweatshirts. This helps prevent friction and unnecessary wear.
DRYING
No tumble dryer needed. Hang garments in a well ventilated space or even in the bathroom, where natural steam can help relax fibres and reduce creases.
STORAGE
Store linen in a cool, dry place, away from direct light. Make sure garments are completely dry before storing them to help prevent mould.

Viscose, also known as rayon, is a man-made fibre derived from natural sources. Soft to the touch, with an elegant sheen and drape, it is used in some pieces in our collections.
WASHING
Always check the care label, as viscose is often blended with other fibres and may require different care.
DRYING
Lay garments flat on a towel to absorb moisture, then let them air-dry without twisting or wringing.
STORAGE
Store only when fully dry and keep in a cool place.

At Polo Club, we use tanned leather only in our collections of footwear and accessories, such as belts. It is valued for its strength, durability and the natural variations that make each piece unique.
WASHING
Leather is sensitive to oily products, perfumes and alcohol. For deep cleaning, we recommend taking it to a specialist. For light marks, use a slightly damp cloth.
DRYING
After use, air your footwear or accessories and avoid direct heat sources, which can dry out the leather.
STORAGE
Store in a cool, dry place, away from damp, heat or direct sunlight. For footwear, using shoe trees is recommended to help keep shape. Applying a leather care product from time to time will help protect the material and maintain its flexibility and original look.

Feathers and down provide thermal insulation, retain heat and allow breathability, making them ideal for our winter pieces. At Polo Club, we use RDS-certified fillings, which support traceability and respect for animal welfare.
WASHING
Wash cold, gentle cycles, always inside out and inside a laundry bag. To help maintain loft, add a couple of clean tennis balls to the drum.
DRYING
Complete drying is essential to prevent moisture inside. Tumble dry on a low heat with dryer balls or tennis balls, so the down regains its original loft. If air-drying, shake the garment several times during the process.
STORAGE
Avoid compressing feather- and down-filled garments too much. Ideally, hang them on wide hangers or store them in breathable bags, never vacuum-packed.
